About the blog
First of all, I have two small remarks to make:
1) Sorry in advance for any mistake, misspell, grammar or any other error committed along the way. English is not my first language so I might be quite bad at it;
2) All the rights of my sidebar images are owned by Piero Fornasetti. They are part of his ”Tema e Variazioni” porcelain plate art series.
My url is in portuguese and the meaning behind this is, literally, just my blog title: dos = from / olhos = eyes / pra (shortened form of ‘para’) = to / dentro = inside; from eyes to inside is a variation of the expression “from outside in”. So here you will find things that I perceive and absorb from the external world, like music and books and films, and anything that makes me feel, things that move me. Things that inspire me, make me laugh, make me think.
About me
I’m an aquarius with aquarius rising, what makes me a lazy slob and an emotional loner. I like chilling by myself on a bus ride listening to music. I like the golden light in the late afternoon; I might like early morning as well, if I ever got up early enough. I like when I’m in a dimly lit room and see dust particles floating through a beam of light. I only use swear words in writing and behind others back (while making some faces and/or obscene gestures). I’m easily stressed out. I tend to change my mind often. I’m an introvert and a homebody. If you ask me what my favorite ANYTHING is I wouldn’t know what to say, but I know I like my room, I like popping bubble wrap, learning new words, and to hang out with my mom. I’m a klutz. I have a thing for libraries and bookstores, I’m a huge used bookstore junkie because I’m a cheap bastard. One of my biggest dreams is to have a place to escape to, more precisely a house on the shore of a lake surrounded by pine forest where my nearest neighbors were deers. I like that good feeling that comes when I get a film roll developed or when something comes in the mail. I like rainy days, it’s a good excuse to stay inside and curl up with a good book or watch a movie. I like when a random baby smile at me but I’m not really a kid person. I live in a constant love-hate relationship with everything/everyone I’m fond of. People make me sick. I believe in hate at first sight. I am a perfectionist-procrastinator. I love playing ukulele, it calms me down. I love the smell of patchouli and the smell under my fingernails after chopping garlic or onions. I am an overthinker, a book sniffer, an inveterate nostalgic, or a doomed dreamer if you prefer. And I’ve accepted that I’ll probably always be socially awkward.
